Hot Pavement Doesn’t Require Hot Temperatures

Don’t go out for walks once it gets past 80 degrees. Especially on dark pavement, but gravel trails get just as hot under the New Mexico sun.

Make sure that you have plenty of water for you and your pet.

Don’t leave your pet in the car. If your pet can’t accompany you during an outing, they need to be left at home or under care. Hot cars are deadly and we have already seen temperatures this month that would be dangerous for animals and children.
