Meet the Staff
Carrie - Practice Manager / Hospital Administrator
Carrie has been working at both hospitals since November 1993. She has been receptionist, technician, and now our Practice Manager. She has been in the veterinary field for over 20 years.
"I started out as a kennel assist and worked very hard to be in the position I am today. I love my job and wouldn't change it for the world. I love challenges and every day presents us new ones. I am currently working on my Veterinary Practice Manager certification."
Carrie is a member of VHMA. She is married and has a daughter.She and her husband are expecting their 2nd child in June. They have a Lab at home named Boston. In her spare time she likes to play with her 4 yr old, go camping, and go 4-wheeling.
Kayrine - Senior Vet Assistant
Kayrine has been with our practice since Oct 05. She received her veterinary assistant certificate through PIMA. Kayrine has a son and 2 daughters, a Bull-mastiff named Avak & a Cane Corso Mastiff named Avina. In her spare time, she and her boyfriend,Baker, like to go camping, ride ATVs, and go hunting.

Shannon - Vet Assistant / Relations Manager
Shannon received her Veterinary Assistant Certificate through PIMA in 2008. She has been with our practice for 4 years and is a wonderful asset! Shannon & her boyfriend, Jarrett, have 3 cats & 2 dogs.
Medical Interests:
Dental, abdominal exploratory, ACL and FHO's. "Anything I get to scrub in for. Anything out of the ordinary."
Ashley - CVT/Chief Technician/Manager
Ashley is a Certified Veterinary Technician. She became registered in 08. She started with our practice in Jan 09. She and her husband, Kevin, have a dog named Fumble. Ashley and her husband have a 1 1/2 year old daughter. Ashley is a Green Bay Packers fan and loves Sunday night football!

Ashley - Vet Assistant
Ashley moved here with her husband from Indiana. Her husband is stationed here at Kirtland - he is in the Air Force. They have 1 dog named Noah and 1 cat named Blackberry. She adopted both of them from New Mexico Animal Friends.

"ADR (Ain't Doin' Right) Cases. New Puppies and kittens and rescues."
Danielle - Receptionist
Danielle is a two time PIMA Graduate in 2010 as a Certified Vet Assistant and in 2011 as a Certified Medical Administrative Assistant. She is very close with her family and that is what she enjoys doing in her spare time is spending time with them. She has 1 nephew who is 4 and she has a God Daughter on the way! She loves school & she can't wait to work toward a Master's Degree in Education or Healthcare Management.

Anything unusual, blood draws, exotics, and farm animals
Cassie Baker - Vet Assistant
Cassie recently received her veterinary assistant certificate through PIMA. She lives at home with her four adorable rottweilers. In her spare time, Cassie enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with family.

Surgery and Medical emergencies.
Megan Gonzales
Megan is a recent graduate of Browne Mackie College. She just graduated from the RVT program and will be taking her boards in November. She & her boyfriend, Bryan, have 3 dogs and 1 cat. In their spare time, they like to attend the local concerts in town.

Jessica Rippberger - Kennel Assistant
Jessica is a music major at The University of New Mexico studying Euphonium. She also teaches marching band at Volcano Vista High School. She has 1 dog, a pit-bull named Beauty.Bianca
Bianca recently graduated from the Veterinary Technology Program at Brown Mackie College. She has a teenage daughter and 4 Dogs at home. Bianca is Originally from California and has lived in the Albuquerque area for about 4 years now.

Kayleigh
I'm Rachel but I go by my middle name, Kayleigh. I'm interested in having a career in Aviation Mechanics but also have a soft side for animals, and am thinking about possibly going into that field of work also. I currently own a cat named Mowglie, a snake, and a 9 month old English Mastiff named Kahlua. For fun I like to off road in the mesa, ride dirt bikes and ATVs, go to the street races, drift and just mainly be around cars. I'm a big fan of shooting and also want to look more into getting my home brewers license. My favorite animal is an Elephant and my goal is to one day take a trip out to Africa to work with them.
Perla
My name is Perla Chavez. I have two nieces that I love very much and another one due in August. I have a great passion for animals and I hope to become a Vet-Tech in the near future. I love to sing and go to concerts. I also like to go camping and swimming in the summer.
